“I loved the look of this powerful but weary Cold War veteran,” says Eric. He modeled a Phantom FG Mk.I of the Royal Air Force with Hasegawa’s 1/48 scale kit, adding brake lines, Black Box ejection seats, Two Mikes intake covers and Extradecals markings. He used Gunze Sangyo paints overall, with Alclad II metallics for the exhausts. Post-shading, panel line washes, and scorching with Tamiya smoke produced the weathered look. Vince Pugliese photo.
