Craig’s Hasegawa 1/48 scale AV-8B HarrierII+ depicts a commanding officer’s aircraft of VMA-513, the Flying Nightmares, over Iraq. He detailed the pilot, modified the outrigger landing gear for flight, closed the main gear doors, and modified a Mk.82 from the Hasegawa weapons set to model a GBU-38 JDAM. He finished with Gunze Sangyo acrylics and decals from an ALPS printer. “It was a commission build to the requested configuration and finish for a member of 513,” Craig says.
