“I chose to model this ship because of its significance in naval history in setting the protocol for modern battleships,” says Mr. Kim of his Combrig 1/700 scale 1906 HMS Dreadnought. “Attaching the cage rings to the rigging was very delicate and time-consuming work, yet rewarding. I used Vallejo Water Effects and Winsor & Newton white artist’s oil to simulate the sea.”
