“This is a Dutch DAF TrOpCo 650kN tank transporter in 1/50 scale,” Henk writes. “TrOpCo means trekker (truck) oplegger (trailer) combinatie (combination). The truck is a standard Tekno model of a Scania heavy transporter with a DAF XF95 cabin. I changed the front bumper, made a roof rack, front rack, and back ramp from copper wire, mesh, and plastic, along with more styrene for the boxes and winch. The 7-axle Broshuis trailer is completely scratchbuilt (except the wheels) and has a working hitch and ramps. The tank is a Leopard 2 from Siku. I lengthened the gun barrel, removed the large turret-hatch hinges, made a new skirt and smoke dischargers, and repainted overall.”
