1/32 scale Roswell Incident - April 2013

Jeff Estes, Titusville, Florida

Jeff says, “The spacecraft is from the Pegasus 1/32 scale set of two ‘Alpha Centauri UFO Short Range Saucers.’ There are countless ways to use them in a diorama.” He used Testors paint for basic colors, and Polly S paints for the alien, rocks, and ground. A curved pine base is covered with Woodland Scenics plaster, ballast, grass, shrubs, and moss to model New Mexico terrain. “This is my interpretation of the ‘Roswell Incident,’” he says, recalling the 1947 reports of a UFO crash in New Mexico. “The Air Force said it was a weather balloon in a top-secret program called Mogul, not a saucer. Well, I combined both. Good fun!”
