Jeff Landsman

Portsmouth, Rhode Island

Jeff built Hobbycraft’s 1/48 scale P-36 in the markings of the plane flown by 2nd Lt. Philip Rasmussen, the pajama-clad pilot who dashed to a Curtiss Hawk during the Pearl Harbor attack, got in the air, and shot down a Zero. Jeff used three different shades of Testors Metalizer paints and added Eduardo photoetched-metal parts. He tells us the model will be on display at the U.S. Naval War College Library during its annual commemoration of December 7, 1941.
