Stephen Payne, Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina

Stephen writes: “This is a replica of one of my favorite firetrucks from my time in the Air Force during the 1960s. The model uses the cab and chassis of the M34 2.5-ton tactical truck from the 1/35 scale Revell Jeep and Tactical Truck kit. Everything from the cab back is scratchbuilt from sheet styrene, tube, and brass wire; beacon lights, ladders, fire extinguishers, and a shovel are from the spare-parts box. The truck is painted with Testors enamel sprays; 3M reflective tape provides vehicle stripes and numbers. Door and compartment labels are custom dry transfers provided by Gallery Graphics.”
