Sergio Bellomo, Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Macchi MC.202 Folgore (Thunderbolt) was a highly regarded Italian World War II fighter that, according to Jonathan Glancey in Spitfire: The Illustrated Biography, could out-turn the Hawker Hurricane, Curtiss P-40, and even the Spitfire Mk.V (although the latter had a faster rate of climb). Sergio built the 1/72 scale Italeri kit with an Aires engine and scratchbuilt details.
