Jean Kip Deffendol, Fort Polk, Louisiana

After building Tamiya’s 1/35 scale PzKpfw II, Jean Kip says it represents a vehicle from the 15th Panzer Division, Afrika Korps, 1941-42, in Libya. He finished with airbrushed and hand-brushed paints, chiefly using Humbrol acrylics with some Vallejo acrylics for details and weathering and adding dust with pastel chalks. “This was based on a photo I found of a similar vehicle from the DAK forces in the same time frame,” he says.
