Mike writes: “Although it only had the briefest of appearances in the 1984 David Lynch film ‘Dune,’ the big-wheeled design of the Sand Crawler was unique. I built the 1985 Revell kit from the box. After painting the body brown and the wheels tan, a light coat of Testors Model Master sand gave it a sandblasted look. I added gold foil to the exposed pipes, gold and silver chrome reflectors to the top, and round light-diffraction panels over the seats.”
