José says, “The scene tries to capture the personal mount of Capt. José María Bravo: a Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 from the Spanish Republican Air Force, Grupo 21, 3rd Escuadrilla (Seis Doble) led by Bravo at the Battle of the Ebro in August 1938 during the Spanish Civil War.” He painted ICM’s 1/72 scale kit with Tamiya acrylic paints and weathered with artist’s oils and pastels; the figure is from Revell.
