William Plunkett

Crest Hill, Illinois

The 1/35 scale T-34/76 1943 tank, its crew, and accompanying infantry are all from Tamiya. William says, “This kit was simple to build, so I added some equipment from my spares box, such as shovels, a sledgehammer, and a wood unditching log. I can’t remember what kits these parts came from.” Additional odds and ends include a Tamiya German infantry weapons set, sandbags, and a wagon wheel. William painted winter camouflage with multiple coats of flat white, varying the coverage on each plate to make it look field-applied. Black, brown, and white pastels as well as Testors Model Master exhaust provided weathering. The snow is white foam putty.
