Joe Dooley

Kingston, Tennessee

Better let Joe explain: “The siege assault gun is built using a Games Workshop Warhammer 40K Shadowsword assault gun (28mm gaming scale, or about 1/56) fitted with a Dragon 1/35 scale Mörser Karl. In the 28mm scale, the Mörser Karl now is almost a 100cm-bore gun. The ammunition tender is a Warhammer 40K Manticore missile launcher with the rack modified into a loader for the Mörser Karl. The shells are from the Dragon Mörser Karl kit. Both vehicles have a black-gray-white digital camouflage (urban) scheme. The camouflage comprises homemade decals over a black body. A variety of acrylics was used for other parts of the vehicle. The beauty of digital camo is the ease with which panels of the pattern can be spliced together. The little squares that compose the pattern disguise joints perfectly.”
