Richard writes: “This is the 1958 Airfix mold of the Heron 2 in 1/72 scale. I decided to build the RAF Queen’s Flight VIP transport used in the mid-1950s, which was the British equivalent of Air Force One. I built the kit straight out of the box with just a bit of filler putty, and used Pledge FloorCare Multi-Surface Finish to improve the windows. I finished the model with Testors aluminum non-buffing Metalizer paint, Testors Blue Angel dark blue for the trim, and kit decals (after taping them to a window to allow the sun to bleach them out).”
