Simca (Société Industrielle de Mécanique et de Carrosserie Automobile) was founded in France by Fiat in 1935. After liberation in 1944, the Italian ties were a liability. But the company got a lift with a contract to repair American jeeps. Pedro’s build of the Tamiya 1/35 scale Simca 5 German Staff Car appears to place it firmly in the postwar period.
