What started as a desire to detail Corgi’s 1/64 scale Volvo firetruck grew into a conversion project, then a full-on vignette requiring substantial scratchbuilding. He forced the perspective behind the truck by constructing a building in 1/76 scale. The modeling is a tribute to his father, a craftsman in his own right; Jeff’s son Stephen continued the family reverence by providing his father with a photo of the project, which depicts a day in the life of a North Yorkshire firefighter — that would be Jeff.
