Senior historian at the Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg, Tom augments the artifacts there with a few of his own in the form of scale models. He built this Old West oil wagon in 1/48 scale. “Actually, the leaf suspension might be a little light for a heavy, loaded kerosene tank,” he says. “But I’ve learned a lot more about wagons since then.”
