Aircraft are Mike’s usual, so Tamiya’s 1/48 scale Komatsu bulldozer was a bit of a push. “But as the kit was a gift, I felt obliged to finish it,” he says. “And I’m glad I did. The fit and engineering was almost perfect. I especially appreciated the one-piece tracks/idlers. In no time at all, I was at the painting stage.” He roughed it up with salt weathering for layered discoloration, and applied Vallejo dark brown acrylic with a fine brush for paint chipping.
