This was "my" airplane when I was flying with VA-83 in 1964. Because so many senior guys were being ordered to Westpac early we were very short-handed. I found myself the fifth senior officer and a dept. head as a first tour Lieutenant.

I used Trumpeter's 1/32 scale A-4E. Decals were from Xtra, snake eyes from Tac Scale Dynamics, zunis from Fisher Products, the ladder from Flightpath, carrier pads and chains from white Ensign, the centerline drop tank from Zoukei-Mura's A-1H. The center tank was different from the underwing tanks.

Paints used were from Testors Model Master enamels.
