I am a longtime modeler since the early 1970's, but that doesn't mean I am great at it. At best I am mediocre, and I am fine with that. I enjoy building plastic, paper and wood models. My main focus is military aviation, but I also like the sailing ships from the 1400's to the 1800's, tanks, space age, and maybe a car or two.
I am at the end of my hobby career with my eyesight not as good as it once was even with the help of a magnifier/visor. My concentration and patience for sitting at the workbench is not as abundant at it once was either. So that means I only want to build models that have captured my interest for years, then call it quits. I will occasional build the paper model, but that will be it as far as modeling goes.
My absolute last model will be the large scale Spanish Galleon by Revell, which I have had since the mid 1980's. Then that is it. At the rate I am building though I should last another five years in the hobby. LOL!!!
Anyways I do still enjoy modeling and looking at other modelers projects. As I have been known to say, "Now go build a model."
