About Wass1967

I am currently 53 years old and have been disabled for almost two years due to a failed back surgery. I have osteoarthritis and I've got more metal in me than the Six Million Dollar Man. Back Fusion 12 years ago and another back fusion 2 years ago completing the 2 rods and 12 screws in my back fusing from T12 to S one. 10 years ago I had Double hip replacements. And 6 years ago a right knee replacement. I cannot be on my feet for more than 10 minutes without a walker. I'm fine around the house. I have been into 125th scale model since I was 9 years old. I had a small collection by the time I was 24 when I got married. And I stop building them have 35 because of time and my eyesight was getting blurry up close. I have 20/20 vision though. About three years ago I discovered magnifying glasses and wow that made a difference. Now that I'm disabled I have about 200 cars and trucks built and I have 73 sitting in my closet to be built. I really get into detailing under the hood and on the dash. Including wires to the battery, the starter, the alternator, and of course the distributor and spark plug wires. I also tried to detail the dash including the numbers and the little orange dial. Thank you if you read all this. I appreciate it. I was surprised to find how many people my age still build models. My favorite are the muscle cars from 65 to 73. In my time a lot of them were jacked up in the back with wide tires. I love that look. As far as trucks, I liked a Varity of a lot of years. But my favorite are the big four by fours with oversized tires. But the street legal versions. Not the monster trucks.
