My name is Joe. I'm married with one daughter that I call "The Peenut". I reside in the land of pink flamingos, white socks, and pierogies, also known as Parma, Ohio (Google it if you think I'm joking). Aside from my family and World War II aviation modeling, the things I cannot live without are Kentucky Fried Chicken (Original Recipe) and the Pittsburgh Steelers. We have six super bowl rings and I'm proud of it. I'm a huge fan of John Wayne, Clint Eastwood and Big Band music (the latter being my Grandmother's fault). My favorite "modern" band would be The Cars, which I believe is the greatest band ever. Anyways, I've always had a huge interest in World War II aviation, mostly due to my Grandfather's 390th Bomber Group sorties in the belly of a B-17F in 1943. I suppose my interest in scale modeling started around 1980 when my best friend Chris and I built the Monogram P-61 together during a sleepover at his house. I built a few solo after this, to include a few muscle cars and then lost interest as life took over in the usual fashion.
A demanding, stressful profession has brought me back to modeling, which is the ultimate stress release......and the rest as they say is history.
