hi there

this is my first post on this forum, also first scratchbuild of a veichle.

the subject is the support veichle from  8th ms team, oav from gundam universe that will part of a diorama.

this is the main reference used, a print at the right scale, theres also others veichles:

at the right width cover the remaining

Photobucket

till the end i'll not use putty so i can scribe panel lines, only use little parts of plastic melted by plasticcement

Photobucket

so on till the right shape

Photobucket

now  add some details, turret antennas and others

that's all for now, i'll post others pics soon

WOW!! Not bad at all! Welcome to the site, I've watched all of the 08th MS, really enjoyed it. Your hover tank is looking really good. I’m assuming it’s going on a dio with a 1/144 MS from the OAV?

You even got the underside looking really nice!

Keep it up!

tanks.

Yes the truck (or tank, i think more correct tank) is thinked for a diorama set near guerrilla village like in the oav. other pieces are one of the ground gundam

and a wood house, and will use N scale figures from preiser.

No sense to build a so little piece to show it alone.

below the base of diorama with others ingredients for the project:

The complete project is on a forum dedicated to gundams only.

mounted sonar arm with metal accuators:

and all the pieces maded and refined till now:

the main gears are empty to let the space for actuators.

Photobucket

till now no putty used to detailng but now is necessary a work of milliput to shape the vents cover.

the gundam is one of latest hguc kits that have good detail, actually the cockpit was cutted to make it opened and ready for others mods:

Photobucket

the villagers are from preiser 1/160 unpainted scale figures and easy to mod. maded a good stock of it in 1/144 1/160 and 1/87

some are perfect for this use but not all :

Photobucket

others already used in diorama like this:the locals speak to zeon pilots (even this kit from 8th ms team):

Photobucket

Photobucket

missing again the  1/72 box to do something with my others work like helicopters or airplane

but i think even the the 1/87 can work with 1/72, not all peoples have the same height

thanx for comments

WOW! Love the Zeon diorama- your figure painting skills are very good for such a small size.

Now that is utterly awesome, it has to be the best post I've seen for ages.

The scale you are working in is amazing, you must have the steadiest hands. The vehicle you have created looks the business, I especially love all of the intricate details you are adding.

Superb!

many thanks Skonch!

lately this and others projects come slowly for many reasons, actually the tank taken the two first layers of primer,

Again the fans needs lots of works on but the rest is near to finish.

I hope not ruin the tank with wrong enamels.

At the next.

My god, I cant believe I didnt see this build before.  Wow Bsyamato, Wow, this is absolutley astounding, I am so impressed, and it looks really darned good!

It was a truck, not a tank.  Its a support vehichle, for recon, the machine gun on the turret was like the Mg on halftracks, they wernt meant for assault combat, just for defensive fire if need be.

I am just amazed at the detail you put into that thing, and its so small, you really should be proud.

Im really glad I told you about this forum, its really good to have you here.

Very impressive build in a very small scale.

It would be fun to see it next to the 1/35 kit...

thanx Borg R3-MC0, the idea to do this little piece started for a diorama involving a ground gundam and a guerrilla village from the oav series, not as stand-alone kit, the 1/35 kit of this subject already exist.
