                        A lot of you new guys may not know him here, but "Bodge" (Andy Argent) has a killer layout of a fantastic 1/72 diorama that he did here on the forums a couple years ago, and it's in an impressive new spread in the new FSM issue.

                        ANDY--way to go, man! That's an impressive article and layout! My fiance' even commented on it, how real your scene looked. I remember you building it, and how impressed we all were about it at the time. What a killer diorama!

                        My only disappointment was that you didn't get the cover! Wink

                        Anyway, you should be "well chuffed"! Big Smile

                        1/72 scale is really overlooked for dioramas!

                        Three reasons to support this:

                        #1 Shelf space. You can display a entire diorama in the space a single 1/35 scale tank occupies.

                        #2 Great line of modern releases and quicker build times. Take a break from 1/35 scale and build one of DML's recent 1/72 scale armor vehicles. The detail will impress as well the clever engineering of the kits. DO avoid the ones with the metal lower hulls. It seriously adds time on the build if articulated suspension is desired.

                        #3 Scale compatibility and cross use to scenic materials. Model RR scenic offerings cross over well and reduce the time spent adding realistic shrubs, trees and other non fall / winter landscapes. Also the scales are matched to add aircraft or other items in the same diorama. Dockside by a submarine? No problem!

                        Congrats Andy....and thank you for breaking the 1/35 barrier!! I am an avid 1/72 builder of AC and Armor. You have given me some great ideas and inpiration for some upcoming armor builds. Thanks!

                        Yupper, fine work, although I admit I've been watching you do that stuff for some time now and think you were overdue for some recognition...

                        ... Especially being handicapped by doing it in Braile-Scale, Stick out tongueWink...  

                         Well done Bodger... And even though I've told you before in the Diorama Hooch, I'll say it again here... You really do do great stuff with your foliage...   Your attention to detail and not relying on bags of shredded foam and clumps of lichen for materials is above and beyond, Pard...
