Excellent job Herch.
Were those decals or did you paint it?
I love it!!!
Didn't know Academy had an A-7 (re-boxed HobbyBoss???). I think I may have to make myself a copy!
Nice! (If I had a third thumb, I'd give you that one too!)
How much decalling vs painting happened here??
On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister
Thanks everyone!
To answer your questions about the kit:
First and foremost I apologize that I said it was an Academy...it is a Hobby Boss. Thanks Fermis for setting me straight.
Second the stripes are all decals...I wish I had the talent/artistic ability to paint them. The decals went down great except the side was a little hard to line up.
I did put a resin AM seat in to replace the pitiful kit seat, but other than that it was a great kit that I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice A7 kit. The avionics bay detail was really nice too.
ME WANT! ME WANT!!!
Great job on an excellent and very eye-catching A-7! A while ago I did their 1/72 A-10 N/AW two-seater. It was an awesome build but, as was the case for you as well, the seat was so very basic if not even less than that. In the future whenever I get a Hobby Boss 1/72 kit, at the very least I'm going to get an AM seat to go with it.
Again, a most excellent job on the plane!
Eric
Thanks Eric!
I think I used a True Details seat...but I can't remember, but it was night and day from the box seat and it fit like a glove.
Nice job. How was the kit? Did it go together well?

Fly-n-hi Nice job. How was the kit? Did it go together well?
the kit went together very well.. I don't remeber any real problem area and the plastic was easy to work with. The decals responded great to the 1,2 Micro set/sol routine. I did have a bit of a fit issue around the canopy...but nothing too bad.
Great job on the A-7!! What nationality is it representing? I don't think it's US military, or is it?
Devil Dawg
On The Bench: Tamiya 1/32nd Mitsubishi A6M5 Model 52 Zeke For Japanese Group Build
Build one at a time? Hah! That'll be the day!!
LIZARD LIKEY!!!!!
Devil Dawg: This aircraft is from the Hellenic Air Force...better known as Greece.
GRL: Thanks for the copmpliment
Again, great job on that plane. Looks very real. Just wondering - how much time was spent on just the decaling? I'm betting over half the time spent on the entire build was decaling.
The decals did take a loooong time but they went down very well and I really did not have to many issue with them at all. Just the sides where the launcher racks go.l If I were to do it again I would leave off the racks
hat off for this tiger
rtoo speed makes ugly results, too relax don't make results
Thank you bsyamto for stopping in to look and for the complments.
corsair II is one of m modern favourite planes this kit seem the best to replicate it in 1/72
