Modern US Navy Hull and Deck Colours?
Posted by Konigwolf13 on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 7:24 AM

I'm currentley building Dragons 350 scale USS Ticonderoga Guided Missile Cruiser. I was wondering if anybody could suggest a better paintscheme than the amount of mixing the dragon kit entails as I dont trust my self to be able to mix the exact colours multiple times

The specification for modern USN Haze Gray is 26270.   Testors Modelmaster Neutral Gray is 36270.   The difference is satin vs flat.

Testors MM Gunship Gray is a good match for deck gray.    New flight deck non-skid is matched well by MM Engine Gray,  but the decks soon weather to Gunship.

Another option is the Colourcoat line of enamel paints from White Ensign Models.  The carry modern USN paint colors which are accurately matched to the current specifiactions.
