(DONE) Doyusha 1/32, Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero

Hinumarus are painted, this one is not what I've hoped for........but al lot of "chipping" made it look better.......

The wheel covers were not up to my satisfaction so I did some remodelling......

1/32 scale Doyusha, Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero, Kamikaze.

Aircraft was flown by Lt. Yukio Seki, leading the first Kamikaze-unit  "Shinkishima-Tai",  Mabaracat airbase in the Phillipines, 25 October 1944.

I've build this kit mostly out of the box, only used some Hasegawa A6M5c parts , wheels and prop. Seatbelt and buckle are made of Evergreen strips.

Used colours are Tamiya; IJN green, IJN grey, lemon yellow with a touch of red. Tamiya metalic blue and clear green ( mixed) to create the oataki-colour for the wheelwells and cover.

Everything is painted except for the numbers on the tail.

My appologies for posting the pics not in "chronological" order and for the errors in language ( if there are any, I'm Dutch.....)

Best regards; Ulrich

Nice build Ulrich.  I have one of these in the stash.  Nice kit from long ago.

Beautiful work! Love the cockpit and the shading on panels. Heart

Beautiful build. I love the weayhering you got on it. I think the hinumarus came out just fine. It is not easy to mask and spray a circle and i looks like you handled them hreat
