Revell USS Constitution Kitbash Article in Scale Ship Modeler
Posted by Bigb123 on Monday, March 12, 2012 12:22 AM

There's a two-part article in Scale Ship Modeler Magazine (discontinued) about converting Revell's big USS Constitution into the HMS Foudroyant.  It's in the July and September 1984 issues.  I have the September issue, but not the July.  Just wondering if anyone has the first part of the article in the July issue that would be willing to get me a copy somehow?  Thanks!!

I might have both.  I inherited most of those magazines and will search through them tonight.

Okay, great!  I made one mistake, it wasn't the Constitution but was the United States as the starting kit.  Anyhow.. It is the July and September 84 issues.

I sincerely apologize! I have tons of Ships in Scale dating back to 1983.

That's okay, Bill.  Maybe somebody else can help.

Bigb123,

I would also love to have those articles if someone else can provide the other one.  I was severely disappointed last night when I found a complete set of issues from 1984 and discovered that I had the wrong magazine!

Bill,

l do have the second part like I said.  I can mail you a photocopy, but don't have a scanner.  If you want it, just PM me your mailing address and I'll get  it right out.  I do have to say, judging from the part I do have, the "meat" of the conversion is in part 1.   But you can still get an idea of what was done.
