I will not take it away from any model .Your Mig looks good and realistic .But; Many Foil modelers say that Foil can't be matched.Well, yes it can.You will have a crack at me at the Seattle spring model show in Renton community center Renton Wa against my Mig -21PF 1/32 scale.I will keep it simple.I won't show off the engine ,Avionics Bays, and Radar.

It is recommended that after spraying Alclad Gloss black primer that you transfer quickly the model to an air tight vacuumed chamber to prevent "Dust Spoil".☺️

I got third place when an I.P.M.S. Judge spotted a very fine dust particle which can't be seen by the naked eye.Wow,that's what I call attention to detail.

Hi guys,

I'm one of the "train guys" from a neighboring Kalmbach Forum group but since this topic is about natural metal finishes, I just want to share info.  I've had outstanding results using Alclad2 finishes, particularly in achieving realistic stainless steel finishes on scale model passenger cars. Here's a link to one of my threads in which a finished model is compared go the "Real Thing":

Hi Antonnio

Thanks for posting your info here. Alclad is just fantastic at producing a very realistic metallic finish with very little effort. No wonder model car guys strip off the manufactured chrome off parts and replace it with Alclad Chrome for a more scale and realistic finish.

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

To me it looks good from here but I think Bare Metal Foil will work better for the train and auto field. Also the care guys have their own version of chrome paint that they use. Here in Washington State we have the Puyalup Auto Modelers club which is probably the most advanced club in plastic modeling autos in the U.S.or the world. They use Foil and paint. You can rub SN'J aluminum powder into gloss white when dry to the touch about an hour and get better results on chrome.Alclad is ok but on the contest table it will not match SN'J or testors Metalizers.Sorry but in due respect try what is best for you.Sgain , looks good.

Also the household and auto Mechanic paint lines are out w/a great line of Metallic paint lines which soon surpass the plastic model paints.Krylon has a metallic line of paints both in spray and in bottle form w/ Lacquer and acetone base which holds even w/ hard tape. They can be buffed to a great finish. At a price of $3.00 +tax ,you can't beat that.It can be sealed w/any clears base products.Thats only the beginning .

Alclad is good for me because when I come across an Alclad project I look at it ,then I smile and I get the award. That a good trade off for me.Keep them coming.

On a final departing note:::Testors is the leader of kits because they have the most Nationals and international wins at contest. If anyone even I.P.M.S. Don't agree ,Just ask John Vojtech.Or me.

Are you ever going to show pictures of your work?  You keep saying you are a master.  I would like to see this work.

I know it bothers you but I am good at what I put out but Fine Scale modeler won't put my work int their Magazine because it's so good..Posting it on the forum only invites Judge like attitudes.Sorry I tried w/you guys .Happy modeling.

That's obviously not true.  If it is as good as you say they WOULD put it in their magazine.  I'm just not sure why you wont show the work you do.  Thats the point of these forums.  Plus if your going to say you are a master you might as well back it up.  I'd be interested in seeing....

I'm not going to argue with you. The point of the forums is to politely share, teach, and learn.  If you cant do these things with some tact and courtesy you have no place on this site.
