Welcome, Rob, from another Rob(ert).

I noted with interest your comment about essential tremor. My wife and I have a good friend who was a cellist with Canada's National Arts Centre orchestra when he was diagnosed with esssential tremor. He had to give up playing his cello, but began a new career as a professional choral singer. As they say, it's not over until it's over.

I can vouch for the helpful, non-critical advice that FineScale discussion board members are always ready to give. Like you, I've had the challenge (and the pleasure) of learning about new (and better) model kits, paints, adhesives, paints, tools, and techniques. I look foreward to seeing the results of your reborn modelling.

Hello and welcome Rob. You are among many peers who looked up to old Shep and Bill in years past.

You have chosen well my friend as this forum has plenty ship building, and figures going on from time to time. Yuo will always find numerous items being built in the Armor section. I could go on, but sit back and check the site out.

PS: No pressure in your building as we are all modeling for the enjoyment and do so at various different skill levels. This is a no judgement zone but is asked there will always be an expert ot two who can assist or guide you (nice people).

Hope to see some of your work posted soon...

Welcome back to the hobby.  Lots of new manufacturer names to explore.  What do you like to build?

Hey Bish, thanks for the welcome. My mother-in-law lived in Cromer and my wife and I have seen a fair bit of Norfolk. In fact we have a whole wall of framed photographs covering East Anglia. A beautiful part of the world.

Hi. My name is Rob Ferguson. I am a 63 year old grandfather of 5 and I live in Lakes Entrance, which is located in the far east of the state of Victoria, Australia. I haver been building models since I was a child, but have had a break for a number of years due to a mediacl condition know as "essential tremor". However now I'm back and trying to come to grips with the plethora of new paints, after market products and PE. When I was last building Shep Paine and Bill Horan were the modellers that I looked to for inspiration and acrylic paints were not on the horizon, so I have a lot to catch up on. My main interests are figures and armour, but I also like sci-fi, ships, trains and aircraft. I am also a keen collector of militaria. I look forward to 'meeting' you all and although I am only an average modeller, hopefully I will be able to contribute something to the conversation.
