A skeet and target modeler
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 7:14 PM
I'm a 48 year old modeler who enjoys putting togeather WWII to present aircraft and armour. I had a short hiatus from the hobby after I got married. After a few years, my wife made the mistake of buying a model as a Christmas gift. I now have a collection of about 120 models unassembled, about 35 assembled. I've now turned my 17 year old son onto the modeling scene. My daughter even models on rare occasions.
The wife builds doll house occasionally also.
I live in Columbus, Oh. so I'm close to the Air Force Museum for reference material. About 4 hrs from the Patton Museum/Fort Knox. So if anyone needs photos, let me know.

I have visited the Air Force Museum and found it full of adventure. I took over ten rolls of film when I was there. I also used to shoot skeet and trap, but my new wife doesn't know how to fry them.
How long have you been back into modeling? What do you build most of the time?

Hello romanoff,
I am only located roughly 50 mi. from you to the east in the big old burg of Zanesville. The last time that I was up at the AF Museum I spent 8 hrs there and didn't even get through everything that I wanted. I am planning a sabatical up there in the spring or early summer...and the wife said that she would like to go too! How cool is that?

berny13; I,ve been back for fifteen years and I get a kick out of detailing cockpits. The Air Force Museum is building another hanger for the Cold War, it should be open by May. Check the web site.

coldwar68; Glad to hear from another Buckeye! It will take you longer the next time you go to the Air Force Museum. You may need to drop bread crums to find your way out again.
Sorry it took so long to get back with you!
