Me too! I was told about this train when I was around 14 years old, about 44 years ago, and was actually making plans to hitchike from Florida to Colorado just to ride it. Cooler heads pevailed. But it is still on my bucket list.

Your a bit closer than me & I think thumbing it from Scotland would be a challenge..........

It's on my extended bucket list & a bit like going to St Maarten - probably never going to happen unless the numbers come up Sad

It was a rail orientated travel show that I saw the line & it looks outstanding - I guess that's why it's featured in so many films.

I like Scotland, too. We took a train trip from Oxford to Edinburgh back when my dad was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford in the 60s. Then I spent a lot of time fixing boomers in Holy Loch later on. Beautiful country.
