Ish, the first three letters of my last name and what almost everyone calls me.  47 for the fact that I've been a CH-47 cargo helicopter (not P-47 jug as some modelers have understandably thought) mech/crewmember for 20+ years, and I'm male.  Finally, my avatar looks a lot like me when I was in my 20s.

Chanter - nice get up. I've always love to see bagpipers marching and it always sends chills up my spine hearing them play.

One of my other passtimes is bagpipes.  The chanter is the part of the pipes that the melody notes are played on.  I have played all over, but by far the most memorable was when I was part of the Canadian Forces Pipes & Drums contigent that went to Moscow to take part in Russia's first ever tattoo, the Kremlin Zoria.

You guys all hav great stories behind yours!  Mine's on the boring side.  My name is Eric, hence the "e".  My wife is Cherie, hence the "c".  My last name is Holmberg, hence the "holmberg".

You see...I, too, lack imagination.

Little Timmy  was a name given to me waaayyy back in the day.  I was a little hoodlem in high school and occasionally ran afoul of the law.  I cant go into details here as this is a family friendly forum but I can say that I have outgrown my destructive, scoff-law behavier. I am now 47 and many people still call me littletimmy so it just seemed like a good idea.

No ..... I am not little.      6 feet tall and 210 lbs.   With a pot belly no less !

My avitar is my favorite model. U - 217

( p.s.) dont get me started talking about U-boats........  I can go on and on and on and on and on............................

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Actually mine speaks for itself. I've always been a big Mustang fan and I've owned three 67 Mustang coupes and this 1989 Mustang 5.0 LX. I had alot of fun with the 67's but this 89 was simply the bomb for me. I threw ALOT of money into engine and drivetrain, added a non-practical but cool looking wheel/ tire package and let er rip! This was a fun car in its day. Faster cars started coming off of the assembly line with 400+ hp motors being the norm and I decided to just drive this around and have fun driving it instead of racing everything in my path like I did when I first built it. Back then it could more than hold its own (and not marginally either). LOL. Anyways here's couple of shots:

My AWC supressor is an Archangle and it is fun to shoot when attached to my Ruger 10/22 or Walther P-22.

Just a play on words that a friend came up with of an earlier username I was using on a different forum we both belonged to. I liked it & kept it.

Always thought the Hawker Tempest was a beautifully ugly plane.  I was born in England. First name is John but some of my closest friends used to call me Johnny.

Back in the days when I still played video games. I played a lot of Metal Gear Solid and got the inspiration from the main character's name Solid Snake. So I made my screen name GreySnake.

My fiancee, Jenn had a particularly bad day and week, and came home from work from her old job as a hostess at a big Italian restaurant where she'd had some rude, disconsolate patrons. She came in in a bad mood, but then her two dogs (whom she calls her "doogs")  ran up to her -- as they always did--and started kissing her and begging for her attention. She brightened up and smiled and said "Ya know, you can have the worst day in the world, and yet when you come home, nobody loves you like your doogs"

Naurally, being her fiancee, I became a "doog" on the spot,. HeartBig Smile

When I first signed up here I drove a 1998 Chevy Tracker and it was green. I never gave it a thought that I wouldn't have it forever. Actually, If I had kept it washed, I would still have it. Yea, I'm still kicking myself over that.

Once upon a time I used to exit perfectly good (debatably) aircraft in flight for Uncle Sam. The last man out the door of a group of jumpers (stick) was call a stick pusher, and I was often assigned this position. When I first went online and needed a handle (and was still on jump status) I chose it. I left out the "c" to make it mine. My avatar photo here is a close up from a pre jump team photo taken a few weeks before 9/11.

Some years ago I would play with a group called the Society for Creative Anachronism and my name in the society was Johann Wolfhammer.  I used that for my email account and it dropped in here.
