Great choice for a weapon (the audible power of a pump shotgun can end a gunfight before it begins)  but the ammo might a bit much for home defense.  00 will cut through the entire house.  I've read the ideal shell is squirrel shot (#6).  It'll blow a hole through a 2x12 at close range but is unlikely to make it through several walls.  One round down a hallway with that cannon and most perps will jump out a window.

I'd still keep the .45 handy.  In case they're slow learners.  ; )

Mossberg 500?  I've always liked the look of the 590, especially with a bayonet fitted!

Great choice for home defense. I keep a Remington 870 12 Ga. with a folder handy.

I've never been to a range that allows alley sweepers. Costs too much to keep replacing the target posts.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Nice looking weapon. For the record I keep a 45 colt and a 12 gauge close at hand.I live alone no children or angry wives to concern myself with.

What make and model Gauge is that? Have you tried it out on a range yet to see how it operates?

This is the only off-topic forum on this site.

The forum rules state: "You're invited to discuss those things not strictly related to scale modeling."

That's why. Wink

Years ago we used to chat about different things like this on here. Maybe things have changed as I haven't been around much for a few years. I'm an old timer on here. Smile

Hope you feel more secure, but what in the world does this have to do with scale modeling? I'm not in any way opposed to our gun rights, hunting or ant other issue about that, but you're showing us a 1:1 fully operable rifle. Shouldn't that post in some other forum?

I felt the .45 ACP I have was good but didn't have the punch I would prefer in case of a home invasion or something so I bought one of these and loaded it up with Federal 3" 00 buck. I feel safer now. Wink

If this is against forum rules please forgive me moderators. All this page says is no politics or religion. Smile
