Folks next door are saying it is a PT-22.

I haven't seen any photos of the aircraft so I can't say if that is correctHmm

Pilots would not call that a "crash".  Actually, it was a successful "emergency landing" since he lived and avoided damaging anything or anyone on the ground.  He did a nice job in setting it up for that golf course!

Sorry to disappoint you buddy, but they finished shooting in Nov, they are now in post production, so there should be no delays because of this. Big Smile

I'm glad to hear he will be alright. I have never heard of or seen  that aircraft before, I hope it can be fixed.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Well the lesson is, if you are going to crash your plane, do it at 2.20 pm on a Thursday afternoon, on a golf course.

You'll be immediately surrounded by doctors!

It is a Ryan PT-22.  There are photos of it online now. News reports say the engine failed and he crash landed on a nearby golf course. I hope he is going to be okay. The latest story I just read said he is in moderate condition. I don't know what that means.

My local webpage described the AC as a "WW2 Era fighter plane" Not from what I could see of the wreckage. Possibly a WW2 Trainer ? Anyone know what it is ? Hope HF comes out of it OK.
