Thanks Art and guys, I guess this is a phase. I'll get over it. I typically have a super positive attitude (unless you ask my wife). I going to give these meds another month, if things don't change I check with the doc to see what can be done.

Steve

You are not alone in that line of thinking. I often say the same thing. It's just the satisfaction of doing things your way.

Once you get tired of it there's always eBay. That's what I do and get good $ for it.

Dude, Steve, my man, my brother, I had no idea. My prayers are most certainly with you. Like others have said, they are making great progress on many fronts, don't dispair and never give up.

If you need anything at all, ask, I'll always be here to help. I'll PM you my info.

With regard to kits and something to build, brother I got your back. You will NEVER run out of something to build. I'll personally hand deliver kits to you so you always have something to work on. It would honor me to do so.

Hang in there brother.

I've often thought of that, but wouldn't have any idea of wht to charge.

i usually start the price at what I paid for the model. The bidders do the rest, sometimes you get lucky and get decent $ and other times you end up getting the starting price.

Either way, you get some $ in your pocket, make some space for another build, and let somebody else enjoy your work.

I also have periods where I have trouble falling asleep. My doctor suggested to take Benadryl once in a while to help me get some rest and it really helps. I don't like Ambien cause it made me feel like a zombie. I took it one time and that was enough for me.

Something that helps me doze off is putting on my ear phones and listen to music. It seems to work most of the time for me.

Ouch! I'd second Wayne and tell you to 'switch gears' for a little while, read, watch some DVDs etc and just put the modeling on hold till you regain an interest. With no interest in anything I don't know what to tell you. Just hang in there and cross your fingers, I think we've all had those 'blah' periods, if it doesn't pass maybe you could talk to your doctor about depression? I dunno, good luck and hang in there, you've got friends here who want to help!

OK guys, I need to snap out of this funk and be a man here. What I'm going through is nothing compared to some. Thank you for slapping me and sand saying, "WAKE UP". To all who have PM'd me, thank you, and to who have responded, thank you for your support and caring. I believe I have better friends on here that in my own family.
I have legs, arms, a job, a wife, children, grandchildren, financial help, friends like you and prayer. WOW, I am rich!
I will update this thread as things change, but I won't use it to complain again.
PJ, look for my builds on eBay in the future. Although I may have trouble prying them from my wife's hands. She tells me she sometimes goes into the hobby room when I’m gone and just stairs at my builds.

Steve... blessed more than I deserve.

I know what you mean, after my accident last year I hadn't went by the little service station I used to buy gas at all the time but I stopped by the other week. I was surprised the nice Indian lady there remembered me so I told her about the accident and complained about busting up my shoulder. Then she told me about her battle with cancer- so I shut up and haven't been complaining since... Embarrassed

As said Steve just take some time off from modeling. Then watch something like 'Kelly's Heroes' or 'The Great Raid' and it will have you modeling juices flowing again in no time.

I took my biannual breathing test yesterday and I am steady and at the same numbers I was 6 months ago. This is good news since IPF does not get better. It seems my medication is working.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!!!

Thank you again.

Good to hear.  Now that you are keeping on with builds, hopefully the not caring phase has passed behind you and that will help with the news as well.  We are all still here for you and behind you all the way.

Yes, I'm passed that phase. I was feeling sorry for myself several months back but reading others stories, I snapped out of it. There are several other members on the forum who have/are going through much worse than I and do not complain. It woke me up.
