ON THE BENCH: Spending Time With Family and Friends
ModelMan68 Brian, I can't speak for Karl....but I don't think he ment any disrespect with his comments. I believe he was just informing us of the different types of tones his dog makes.

im not offended at all. I hope it didn't seem like I was. I was just making a joke and Karl, that's a great name for your pooch. I love weiner dogs, but the wife has always run with her pooches so she needs a bigger dog. So if we're ever ready for another it'll be a bigger one.

I know you and your family are going through a tough time right now...it brakes my heart knowing you have lost a huge part of your life. Nothing I could say to ease or bring Brandy back. I guess I could say that your not alone.....all of us are thinking of you during this time.
Wow PJ...that is such a cool story. I'm sorry your buddy moved on. Hopefully you were able to gain a new buddy. Dog's are such great family members. Skippy made a huge impacked on you if you can still recall him in your mind. That's why I have a hard time when we loss a pet...they become such a big part of your life. Again, I'm sorry you lost your buddy Skippy
the doog I've never heard a more "vocal" dog. Whines, growls, and a dozen variations of each depending on the subject.

he is German after all. I thought that's how they all speak. With whines, whistles, grunts, growls. I'm half german, so go away PC police.
ModelMan68 Karl, Mr. Von Logan looks and seems like a very cool bench buddy. It's great having such a wonderful friend.

Man I am so sorry too hear that about Brandy....There are no words to express during your loss. But I am truely sorry this happened. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I'm so sorry about Brandy. They become part of our family and are missed when they leave us.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
that looks exactly like my modeling buddy. Unfortunately she was hit on the road last night. I let her out to pee and went inside to do the same, and that was it. she didn't help out in the model building or painting process but she was a great watcher and agreed with everything I said. Best story I can think of her was one morning I came home from church and couldn't find her. No doors were left open so she had to be in the house. I searched for 30 min or more, knocked on neighbors doors, everything. Finally I was gonna get in my truck and drive around the neighborhood. then I saw her on the roof of our two story house wagging away happily. I had to laugh. Apparently she crashed through our bedroom window screen got on the roof that way that way. You never really know how much a silly dog means to you until she's not around anymore. The house will be more boring wihout her. RIP Brandy.
I'm really enjoying this thread And the beautiful doggie pictures.
My first love of dogs was when I was 10 years old. My neighbors had a med size dog that looked like a dirty piece of rolled up carpet. His name was Skippy and he waited for me every day to walk to school in the morning. My school was about a mile away and Skip went up to the school steps and waited for me to go inside then he walked back home.
One day he simply vanished and I never saw my little buddy again. I was very sad for a long time. It's been 50 years and I still see him in my mind.
All cute doogs!!! Love em all!!!
This is my son, Gerhardt von Logan. He's about 16 months old now, a purebred longhaired minature Dachshund. He sits in his bed here, next to my bench on top of an ottoman, chewing on a plastic bone, eating kibbles, playing "watchdog" out the window, and always, always drifting off to sleep as I model. He's my constant daytime companion.
Buckeye,
Those are some good looking buddies.....I see they are hard at work lol
My two German Shepherds Ike and Bounty are always under foot.
PJ,
Both of them look sweet. My hat's off to you for rescuing a dog from the shelter. Like I said how could you say no to that adorable face. I agree with you some dog's like to be alone when they go down for the night. And Coco is a cute little princess....total diva dog
Holly looks impressive cause she is a big one but she is so sweet and lovable. She was a rescue from a local shelter here and we got her on Dec.25th 3 years ago, so we named her Holly.
Coco has her bed next to ours but Holly loves her crate and she rather sleep in it. I guess it's her comfort/safe zone.
Same here....Boomer has a bed next to my side of the bed and one right next to my chair at the workbench. My grown kids laugh and say Boomer is the "head of the house". She loves it when I roll the window down in my truck and she can stick her head out. Boy that's a sight
Yes, he goes everywhere we go, if he can and it's not too cold or hot. He has a bed next to my bed and one next to my work bench.
Steve,
Wow....what could I say, but Dallas is a good looking buddy who looks like he want's to be apart of everything. He's got the "serious" and the "it wasn't me" look down pat. I love that guy
There both great....how could you say no to those big brown eye's. It make's it more enjoyable when they hang out with you when your at the bench.
I posted a picture of my Lab/Rottie a while back. She likes to stop by and put her head on my lap. Her name is Holly and she is 3 1/2 years old and weighs 85 lbs.
My most persistent companion is Coco, my 11 year old Bichon. She follows me everywhere I go.
I agree CM.....they are great companions and never fail to be around when you need them.
Thanks, Jeff. The Sarge always appreciates compliments. We think he "suffers" from "possession aggression," sort of common in JRT's.
Not to slight my other dogs from the past, but Sarge is the best dog I've every had.
Very nice-looking companions, everyone. Dogs are great little beings!
CM,
The Sarge looks awesome.....he looks like a fireball of energy and looks like he is very protective of the plastic. He has a great name that totally fits him. JRT are good dogs. We almost got one until we saw Boomer
Here's Sergeant Saunders ("Sarge")--Jack Russell Terrier.
He's usually not too far away during modeling, due to his very social nature, and he presents much less danger to plastic than any of the three cats.
Sorry to hear that TJ....maybe one day you will get another Westie Jock....they are great dog's.
