i grew up building models, but was a late bloomer for sports. I played Little League baseball then followed that up with the high school game. Never played football, but did enjoy watching it. The late 70s in Houston were awesome in the Luv Ya Blue era (Houston Oilers with Bum Phillips, Earl Campbell, and Dan Pastorini).
I am a Texas Aggie, a school known for its football program. I will watch the Aggies likely until the day I die. It is a fairly unique deal in college football, where the fans in the stands are referred to as the 12th Man ( no, the Seattle Seahawks did not originate that term), and have a strong connection to the football program because our standing throughout games signifies our readiness to leave the stands and step onto the field. (No, it is not actually going to happen, but it did happen back in 1922, when a student by the name of E. King Gil came out of the stands to offer his playing services after a slew of Aggies had to leave the game due to injuries).
I have given up on the NFL. They are far too political for my tastes these days, and I will say that the Dallas Cowboys wanted to honor murdered police officers with a helmet sticker, and the league told them no, that told me everything I needed to know. I will never again spend any money on attending any NFL game, and since the police officer/Dallas thing, I may have watched a grand total of 10 minutes on TV.
i still root heavily for the Houston Astros, but that organization rubbed me wrong earlier this season. I took a hand-held camcorder to Minute Maid Park as my daughter's school choir was performing the national anthem prior to a game. I was told at the gate that I was not allowed to bring the camera in. Later, I checked their website, where I found that all forms of cameras with typical lenses, and video cameras, are in fact allowed in. I fired off a strongly worded email to the Astros, but curiously I never heard back from them. It is likely I will never bother going to one of their games in person again although I remain a fan of the team.
As for modeling, I typically turn the TV on at my work bench to a college football game when I am out there in the fall. On Sundays I listen to music, typically movie scores, or watch movies on Amazon Prime or something I own on BluRay. During the week, it is music or talk radio.
