I too use my weather rock for most days, it's as accurate as any other source, but also, here in Central Oregon if you don't like the weather, just wait 20 minutes.

As for meteorologists, that's why, in the service we called them weatherguessers. Need I say more.

 

When the lake effect snow hits in the winter, all you have to do is drive 5-10 minutes down the road to see a drastic change in snowfall.

From a friends house in pass Christian, ms. The house across the bayou is definitely underwater on the ground level. - use to be mine....  the pool is under too along with the equipment, etc. Dock, lawn, etc in foreground is under too. As you look across the way you can tell by the oaks how much is covered.....
