Thank you to those to work our polling places.  I expect this year will be quite an adventure. Although the current political climate wants me to look forward to a root canal over going through with this election, I am always going to excercise my right to vote and complain. 

Our country is unique in that we are actually 50 individual democracies all voting to have an equal voice in a national government, who's primary duty is to make sure we are all united and protected equally. This is why voting for our state representatives and supporting the Electoral College is so important.  I am concerned that people in the US are losing the focus in that the US is not to be governed by one central government.

Its also interesting that there are countries that make it mandatory to vote or face a fine.  To me, if the government is forcing me to vote, then that is not a free election.  Voting should remain a right and civic duty for a citizen and not a requirement.
