It coiuldn't be a B-25, it's nowhere near the Empire State Building.

My original guess would have been a C-7.

It's a Chuck Yeger plane

I am starting to agree with those who think it is not a B-25.  I think the nose is not long enough.   Could it be an old Lockeed, maybe a Lodestar?  That had twin tails and radials.

I'm quite certain it is a DH Caribou. The location and apparent purpose of the flight fits, i.e. there aren't any airshows going on and it is fire season.

Notice the inner wing trailing edges go pretty much straight across. Big flaps, STOL set up. The Caribou does have a little "gull" in the wings.

It's impossible to tell wether there is one vertical tail or more, but the horizontal stab is a squared off rectangle which suggests that. However thats also a feature of the Caribou/ Buffalo.

As noted by others, the proportions don't fit a Mitchell.

Last thing. Yes an aircraft can throttle back, but in usual flight the Mitchell is a hot rod with two 2600s. Caribou cruise is 160 mph, Mitchell is 230.

NF- 104. Not really but a dressed up 104.

Im quite sure the original is a Caribou. Viewer heard radials. It really does not resemble a Mitchell for the reasons stated.

Also, those were hot rods with a pair of 2600s

Not sure what sort of plane it is.

Pretty sure it ain't The Giant Claw though...

Oh, detective work!

Well, the photo is a bit blurry, so it's hard to say.  Perspective is a problem.

However, there is an airshow in Twin Falls in which the CAF B-25 is appearing.

Not sure what other aircraft are showing up.  Will have to check if there is a list.

The trouble is...that picture was taken in a different part of teh country, maybe over White Sands.

The Loadstar was a shorter, fatter aircraft with thicker wings, unless someone's been on Jenny Graig recently.

Wow Tanker-Builder!!!! Thats a heck of an opening line. Ive never known anyone who has owned a warbird before, let alone a beastie with two engines.
