Oldermodelguy,

Condolences for your loss, and I send to you all the best in this most difficult time.

Unfortunately, this thread has become a flashpoint on the forum. It has been cleaned up to remove the back and forth. If anyone would like to send Oldermodelguy condolences, please message him directly.

I am so, so sorry for your loss.  I know exactly what you're going through.  I went to work one morning when my wife handed me my coffee and when I came home for lunch found her in her chair on the porch. That was 6 years ago and it still gets me.

In time the pain will lessen, keep your faith and don't let TT or those of his ilk get you down.

Thank you all, I just felt compelled to share here in the forum and if mods bounce it so be it.. All of your replies have not gone unnoticed and again thank you so much.. Who so ever would come to the Lord please do it now, we have no idea how short a time we may have left. As my pastor friend and I say so often " have you ever noticed on a birth certificate there is one date, no line there for an expiration date but we all have one". Man, Dawn went quick, praise God she knows Him. He just plain and simply took her home. I celebrate that because I knew her detination and knew our hearts for ministry and whole purpose is to go home. Her life was a living testemony. Course, in our flesh and hearts, myself and adult children, relatives and closest friends suffer seemingly in waves. We are designed to mourn. But in our spirits we know where she is, this life is so short even if we live to be 100yo it's but a mere flash in eternity.

God bless you all today. I'm able to begin functioning. Got to the bank to change some account access etc, did laundry.Was wiped out by noon time, my daughter came by and folded the laundry. She brought lazagna that was to be finished cooking and I have that in the oven now ( it's actually making me hungry lol ). My son is coming by today, he is unsaved and I witnessed to him earlier in the week. He now wants to talk, which is amazing. So well, thanks again I have to go tend to this lazagna !

I am filled with sorrow to be receiving your message. There is nothing I could say that would mean anything to you at this time.

I believe you have already described the blessings of our father in heaven. He has given you the peace and understanding which you have already described.

I will pray for you, your family, and anyone in your circle dealing with your loss.

Words are so inadequate at times like these. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am so glad that you have your faith in Him to strengthen you during these difficult times. Clearly your wife was a blessing to so many while she was here.

Expressions of sympathy can be so insufficient at a time like this, but you have my sincerest condolences.

My Firend;

 By the Grace of GOD, I was there for my two wives, one at home, one in a care facility. They gently left, But the Pain! I carry your pain as well. She is with God now and I believe she knows your pain as well. Mourn then Continue your life. She would want that. BUT, Never forget all the moments you can, Good or Bad.Then Smile and say goodnight each and every night. She hears you.
