I haven't bought much recently except those 3D printed figures.
I did get this... um... whatever it is at a club 'clear out your old deadwood kits' auction.
Looks pretty simple and as they say 'paint it however you want'. Sorry, didn't want to pull the thing out of the plastic bags and take a chance of parts disappearing.

That's cool Gary! I've found a few cool kits at Ollies. I need to hit them again now that's it's after Christmas.
Nice acquisition,I'm sure there have been purchases too, although I have not myself.
Just trying to keep some action going here on the the site.
Tojo72 16 days and no one bought any new models yet, must be a record.

I updated the thread to reflect the new year.Lets keep the longest running thread going, and happy hunting in 2024

Oh wow those are awesome Aggieman! Love me some blue planes (USN)!
And those classic kits with the working features. I always got cement somewhere it wasn't supposed to go and cemented them solid...
And love the new Corsair, looks like an fantastic kit!
Nice! That one is tempting. Nice write up here: https://www.themodellingnews.com/2023/11/preview-three-new-items-to-enhance-your.html#more
Also saw somewhere that a guy was able to convert the wing fold to extended. My understanding as the kit comes, you build and extended wing for one and the other has to be folded.
Thanks,
John
Another delivery, this one that I got for myself:
I know nothing of this manufacturer, but the scalemates site listing for this kit looked pretty good, and I do love the Corsair. Reviews claim it rivals or even bests the Tamiya kit, so there's that. Having built two Tamiya Corsairs in this scale (48), I'll be able to judge for myself one of these days. There are two kits in this boxing, so I'll build a -1a and a -2 (a variant I've never built).
My tree had some nice additions to the stash from the wife and daughter:
I'm sorry to hear that Gary.
I'm happy now that I did order the B5 boxed set. I keep hearing about business problems with Warner Brothers. If you want one it might be a good idea to pick it up soon in case they should go belly up...
John,
Congratulations on such a haul! Wanting that Artemis model myself.
Gamera,
Nice selection! Love the Shiden! And especially that complete Babylon 5 box set!
Nothing under the tree for me this year, unfortunately.
Gary
Thanks Tojo, we usually have a nice gift exchange but this year you could have knocked me over with a feather!
5-high: Oh WOW!!! Big whoppin' Corsairs and a Jug! You can't beat that!!! She's a keeper for sure!
Looked under the tree this morning and unwrap tree boxes.and I got three trumpeter 1/32scale delights .!!!. Two bought F4u1Ds corsairs and one P47 thunderbolt Razorback!!!. My wife is the best EVER!!
Nice haul gamera, you got the Phantom !!!
Well, the three I bought for myself first. Only the second Panzer III I've ever built. I figured it was time to pick up another:
And I had to pick up the Shiden after it starred in a recent movie:
And a cool 3D printed figure of Willy Wonka. Sorry the box is just a pile of pieces so I grabbed a photo of the completed figure online. With the wild colours of his suit this one is going to be fun to paint!
And as for gifts. One of the guys in our club was cleaning out his stash and donated this to me. Very cool older kit. It's covered with so many rivets it looks like me at 8 years old with chicken pox...
And from our IPMS Christmas party this is well... WOW!!! I feel like the Cratchets when Scrooge sends them the goose as big as Tiny Tim. Thank you Rocky!!! You blew me away there.
And though not modeling related I took avantage of a couple of Black Friday sales to pick up a bunch of Blu-Ray boxed sets:
Oh wow nice stuff guys!
John: I didn't even know they made a egg version of the Osprey.
Pat: Cool caravan!
Here's my gifts from my wife & daughter
I've heard great things about this low cost airbrush
And.... on Christmas Day from my dear lady wife of 55 years...
Remember , common sense is not common.
That bead cord is a great find! Looks like the perfect stuff for tow & winch cables.
Well, I’ve had minimal modeling moejoe flowing since the beginning of November… but I have made a few purchase for when it returns…
I picked up both of these off eBay for lower than the prevailing prices for each item…
I’ve been wanting to try my hand on one of these large scale Tamiya figures, and I do have the uniform insignia decal sheet of theirs that includes both 1/35 and 1/16 ranks, eagles, and such… This one was a real good price, as it did not have the instructions sheet, but I’ve already remedied that thru Scalemates… being 1/300 it should be a good sized ship on the display shelf once completed.

My wife ordered this for my Christmas Present!
I've been warned on another site that there are a lot of parts in a small area! So with shaky hands as I have it should be fun. So if I have a few jars over Christmas it should go well!
Oh wow, great stuff there Pat and Ben & Jarrod!
And fantastic deal Tojo and very cool kit!

Nice Pat, you sure come up with some good purchases on the neat and vintage car scene.
For me, I've been in an armor mood lately, so this is what I recently bought:
Kit
Tracks
Crew
Jarrod and I also found some nice detrailing thread at Hobby Lobby, real metal cable woven like that used for scale tank tow cables, for 1/48 and smaller:
And this set of nylon for use in 1/24 and smaller, The blue/gray hue shold be nice for tank cables. Just a little dirty wash and dry brush.

Yes a 1/32 Jimmy Flintstone production. More on delivery.
On researching I haven't found pics of a finished build, has anyone built this please?
29.11.2023 yes it arrived today!
That one looks like fun Pat
Just won on ebay UK...
Another couple of kits to wrap up for our house move!
To convert to a Pick-Up as the Ebbro version is unavailable everywhere and more expensive.
This one built as is, due to it's wonderfull decals!
Another inexpensive 'already started' from ebay. Aoshima Bunka Kyozai. But what real name does it have, is it a Laurel or Cedric please? It's a Cima Y32 so I'm told.
