I did pick this up recently. Our IPMS club contest in August has a special category for either this kit or a Ford Mustang. And since the day I own a Ford product- even a model is the same day that Hades freezes over, well this it was... Big Smile

I may have to call on the spirit of Hans von Hammer where ever he is, this kit is a little rough- if the Hasegawa P-51D is a Cadillac, and the Tamiya one is a Rolls Royce, this one is sorta the equal of a Ford Pinto...

I ordered some goodies a while ago and the last ones finally arrived:

I also finally managed to get my new workbench set up! Big Smile

There's already a new model on it, which I'm going to share with you guys once I make some notable progress. (I don't have a lot of free time, so progress is slow unfortunately)

Oh WOW!!!

And that Panther looks pretty darn cool too!

It really is a nice kit.

Only the running gear is bothering me a bit. I'm sure it's my fault, but the "working" suspension doesn't actually work on mine. the arms do move up and down, but they don't spring back on their own.

It's good enough for my purposes, but it annoys me a bit that I didn't get it to work perfectly Stick out tongue

O, nice, not built that one yet but it is in the stash. But i have built some of their other Panthers, and i did get an Aber PE set for this one, but that was before i built the otehrs and realised it doesn't need any AM. Great kits and a really nice build.

Stopped at 2 different LHS and got these, the Y-wing I got with a 40% off coupon and some money I found in a jacket of mine,  Ya hoo.  Wasn't sure what the 1/72 scale y-wing would be like, but it's fantastic,   I'll post sprue pictures if anyone wants.

the EA-18g  for a 1/144 is fantastic, great engraved lines and great looking detail parts.

Just got back from Noreastcon, and couldn't resist these.  First British armor and first half track.  Big Smile

Dwayne: Hate to point it out but I've got the same AFV Club M36 and Perth's review isn't kind. Of course if you just want to build it and not worry about the rear deck it's a pretty good kit.

Not wanting to pre-empt the result but the kit is unfortunately more like a genetic experiment gone wrong with it having the diesel engine deck of the M10/M4A2 and the rear hull plate a combination of the M10/M4A2 plate with M4A3 style exhausts added but the new turret has some very nice details included.

Hey Gamera, thanks for the heads up.  Not sure when I will get around to building this, but now I know the issues.  I will decide then if I can correct the details, or just build it for the fun of building.

Dwayne or Dman or just D.  All comments are welcome on my builds.

Yeah, it's amazing how going to the hobby shop for a three dollar bottle of paint can turn into a forty dollar model...

Not that it's ever happened to me.....

I scored another of Tamiya's 1/48 scale M1A2 Abrams at Hobby Lobby with their 40% off coupon; less than $22 out the door.

Well look what showed up on the doorstep today out of the blue. I bet I know who sent it.

Some builds are going to have to drop down in priority.

I've been on a buying spree.  I have a the new 1/12 tamiya Ducati on order as well so I'have something for the group build for sure.

These showed up today for my aggressor collection.  The Kfir decals double for the shelf of doom group build as well.

Thanks,

John

Won these on eBay: three Tamiya bikes + riders for $23.50 + a hefty $22.55 shipping.  Still puts each bike at $15 or so plus the riders.  Granted these are early, early Tamiya bikes but still nice kits.

John,

Are going to wait to build one of those for the Motorcycle GB in September, or can you not resist and have to start one sooner? Lol! They look like really nice kits.

Wow, again some awesome stuff guys!

Archangel: Love those figures! Would love to see more details on your build of her.

Steve: Very cool! Finally broke down and bought a ship model, Hasegawa's 1/350th IJN Shimakze (still in HobbyLink Japan's private warehouse waiting for the rest of my order of come in). I would love to see how you do the heavy seas.
