Went to a model show today and came back with 3 new additions. The first two were on the shopping list and going for a good price, so why not.

The Nimrod even came with Alleycat resin engine intakes.

And i got this one from the raffle. Don't have a C, so its a welcome addition.

My LHS is closing the doors this w/e, and here is what I picked up over the past couple of weeks, from 10 - 40 % off.  Dropped $300, and a third of it was on the carrier (have all 3 up detail kits coming for her from Japan). Paints include Alclad, Tamiya and MM acrylics.  Also got some brass and alum rod and tube.

Here are a couple I got in the mail last night from Squadron.  Not shown but included is a book on Scharnhorst for the Dragon 1/350 kit I bought from the LHS earlier this year.

Planning on the Raumer as the antartic version, beautiful 3 color camo on it.

Being reduced from £42 to £20 seemed a good deal so I bought......

To convert it to this ( or something like it)..........

I thought it looked like an older box but never come across that one before. Looks like a big subject, should be fun to do.

Joe, i have now got 3 of the 410's but not built one yet. I think tempestJohnny has, he got me onto the kits and the site in japan. Jack is currently doing one of the 109's. They do look nice kits, but drop Johnny a line if he doesn't spot this.

Nice couple of kits there, is that tamiya a new one.

Thanks Bish. I'll hit him up on that. As for the Tamiya truck, no it's the old kit. I've always liked this subject so I snagged it up fairly cheap. Unfortunately it does not have an engine but, should be a fun kit to weather up.

Been a while since I've dropped in to check out what folks have been accumulating lately. I must say that you folks have picked up some rather impressive stuff.

Bish: I'm rather intrigued by the Fine Mold kits. Have you built one before? I'm interested in how the Me 410 is.

In the past while I've picked up a couple of additions. One in particular excited the daylights out of me. I acquired a 1/72 Hasegawa A-1H Skyraider with the toilet bomb! Heck, I didn't even know this kit existed until I saw it on a FB sell & trade group. Snagged it up immediately for $20.00.

Also picked this up:

By the way, this my test post for using Postimage.org for a photo hosting site. Tried it at Stik's recommendation.

My latest addition to the stash is Trumpeter's 1/32 SBD-3 Dauntless, the clear edition, that I picked up on eBay for less than $60. Kit was still in the shrinkwrap. Considering what it goes for full retail, I feel like I scored a deal.

Prior to that I picked up old Hobbycraft kits of the P-26 and P-35, both in 1/48. I forget where those came from.

That B-58 is 1/48 and does not have operating features. The kit you are thinking of is also by Monogram, dates to the late 50s and is in 1/121 scale. I have built both of these kits, the latter earlier this year.

They do look nice and all the reviews i have read on their aircraft are positive. I have high hopes. When i checked on Scalemates i was surprised to learn the 109's came afer the FM 72nd TIE, which i didn't realise dates from 2002.

Hey Bish, if they're as good as FineMolds tanks and Star Wars kits they should be some really nice models. Yes

For ages i have been putting off getting a Fine Molds Bf 109. Seeing Jacks build pushed me over the edge. But, seeing as i was getting it all the way from Japan, it seemed a bit silly just getting one.

And i figured while i was at it, might as well grab another one of their Me 410's.

And here's me trying to work out why the stash never seems to get any smaller. Confused

I don't know about the switch. I'll let you know when I receive the kit.

Is that B-58 the one that has the "remote switch" to drop the pod? I built that one back in the 60's.

The B-58 is going to be one cool bird. I plan on finishing it in Bare Metal Foil. However, I can't start on the 58 until I finish my b-29.

That's some cool stuff there guys!

Mike: I've gotten one or two kits off ebay too where it looked like the former owner was putting together stuff for a big project and then passed away or otherwise didn't get to finish it. What else can you do but pick up the torch from them and continue???

Johnny: Wow, that B-58 is cool! I'd seen it in the stores when I was a lot younger but never bought it. I hope you'll post photos when you're done, I really like to see how this monster turns out.

Rudy: I'd say that for that price for a 1/48th Lanc with resin engines and PE parts you got a pretty sweetheart deal!

My most recent acquisition was a 1/35 Kettenrad I worked on Friday and Saturday for our club "build weekend " that we (apparently) do twice a year. That little *** is small! But the ones I had been wanting to get for some while were a Revell B1B $67 on eBay as a bagged kit with no box. All the others I had bid on went for well over $100. I wanted it to compare(size wise)  the fleet of the allies "heavy" WWII bombers I've built or am building in 1:48. The other purchase I made was a 1:48 Lancaster from a fellow club member for $100, but it includes resin Merlin engines,  and several PE sets. I'm happy to have. (and plan to soon build) the planes, although it wasrather depressing to build the engine in the kettenrad only to cover it up!

Rudy

edit: I'm losing the battle trying to post pics from photobucket, that site really sucks anymore. Any other suggestions for photo hosting are welcome.

I just bought this on Ebay fo $40.00. The box has never been opened. Nothing like a big, delta wing bomber.
