CB, Dave, WP, thanks guys. It was a decent year, all things considered. Hopefully this year will be more productive. I will have more free time.

WP, in that club, it’s like Rodney Dangerfield says, “tough crowd...”

Well done.  You are clearly a talented builder.  Especially liked the anti tank gun and figure.  2nd Place?  Love to see 1st.

Thanks for sharing your work with us, Carlos. Outstanding job on all of them!! Will have to check out those paper nets; they look pretty cool. I remember seeing a bunch of Leopard 2s in winter camo during my last winter trip to Grafenwoehr. It gave me this weird sense of deju vu....Camouflaged German tanks, winter war, cold and snowy days. Glad we are all on the same team now, because I'm sure a Leopard 2 would have have made short work of my Bradleys!!

2022 New Year's Resolution:  Enter 1 group build and COMPLETE a build this year!!  Why Photobucket did you rob me of my one Group Build Badge???  Must be part of the strong anti-Monogram cartel!!!

Thanks sarge,

yeah, they've all been built in spare time. Days off or bits of time after work. This past year went by so fast...

Carlos, I remember the Tamiya 1/35 Sdkfz 222. It was amazing how you finished that model in 12 days and then received a first place award... Wow! Did you do all these models in your spare time?

Drifter, modern NATO armor in the field does not look right without camo nets. You're quite welcome for the info.

Greg

Nice work, Stik. Yes

I was going to comment "Oh, an all-amour year!", then finished scrolling and saw the x-wing fighter. Surprised me. Smile

Your nice bases sure are the icing on the cake of your armour experitize.

Thank you Greg. It was pretty close to being an all armor year... but that little X-Wing came along...

Ted, MC, Drifter, thank you! I am happy to hear that you like these builds.

Drifter, I found the camo netting on eBay. Just type in 1/35 camo net for a search and adjust the search to low price first. It should show up. It is a paper product, and was quite inexpensive. But it's hit and miss on availability. I would like to get some more for future projects.

Thank you Carlos for the info. You did a splendid job on the build and the use of the netting. It really looks sharp!

Beautiful work Carlos...you definitely deserved those awards. Outstanding job sir. Also, where did you purchase those camo nets for your leopard tank? That was a wonderful touch to your build.

All look really nice, stick. Yes

I'm developing a star wars bandai problem.  I really want that x wing.

In regards to the 17lb. gun...

Did you use static grass on the diorama base?

Does the figure come with the kit?

Real & Aggie, thanks for your kind words. Yes Aggie, that is indeed Red Leader. Everybody does Luke’s mount. I wanted to do mine a bit different.

That's a nice year of armor there, and Red One (or was that Red Leader?) looks great!

Thanks TJ. I’m kinda surprised that I completed zero aircraft last year. Although the X-Wing is kinda close. I will address that this year.

Four is two more than I got built. And mine aren't likely to win any awards. I did try bribing the judges with donuts, it didn't work. This year I'm going to try pie.

All joking aside congradulations on your well deserved awards- looking forward to seeing what you've got planned in 2020!
