Alclad won't cure
Posted by crazymodeler on Monday, April 13, 2020 4:05 PM

Hey folks,

I just painted a model with Tamiya Fine Gray Primer, then 2 coats of Alclad Silver Base with 10 minutes between coats. It sat in the dehydrator for 2 days, then 4 coats of Candy Orange with 10 minutes between coats. I put it in my dehydrator for a few days, then checked it. It was still soft so I put it back in for another week and I was still getting fingerprints. I tried wearing soft cotton gloves, but tiny fibers were sticking to the paint so I took them off. I thought Alcald Lacquers dried fast.

Any ideas why it is not curing?
