The W.A.M. 2022 model contest is being held in Oshkosh, WI on Nov. 5th.  Oshkosh is only an hour's drive north of you so I hope that you guys will be able to attend.

Who can afford the gas, let alone a plane ticket?

Every show or contest is local to a club or group somewhere, albeit some lareger than others. While we can't make it to them all, it's good for people to know that they still exist, and we definitely want to support them by giving coverage when we can. 

It looks like all of the local clubs (there are many here) in central North Carolina have just quit hosting contest events.

Next show for us is HeritageCon in Mount Hope, Ontario, Canada. Anyone on the Forum planning to attend?

HeritageCon in Mount Hope, Ontario, Canada, was an incredible show! As the first show we've traveled to since the start of the pandemic, it did not disappoint. We're working on the photo gallery for the show and a video of the event from the show floor--basically, models, models, and more models! Just finished picking through all of the photos we shot, so now it's all about retouching, writing captions, and publishing them to the web. I'll post when the gallery goes live.

Next up is NNL Milwaukee, happening this Saturday. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the surrounding area plays host to many excellent scale modelers. Can't wait to see what the car guys have in store this year. Hope to see some of you there! 

Hoping to get to Milwaukee this weekend.  It'll be my first NNL show.

I just wanted you to know of another contest in our area.  It's on the first Saturday in May and is in Eagle River, WI.  It's put on by the Scale Model Phanattics.

Hi!

Aaron and I shot more than 50 models at the NNL Milwaukee show. So many incredible scale auto models. We should have the gallery and some video from the show up early next week.

We're headed down to the Indy Invitational today, so if you're in attendance, we'll see you tomorrow!

In September, Aaron and I were able to cover both the MSM show in Fort Atkinson, WI, and NordicCon in Invers Grove Heights, MN. 

We're slated to be at the MMSI contest on October 22, and then the Butch O'Hare show on November 5. Those will be the last two shows for the 2022 calendar year.

And that's an end to this year's model contest and show season. We're working on our schedule for 2023, so keep your eyes peeled for that announcement coming up sometime during the beginning of next year. 

Thanks for everyone who came over to talk to use during the shows and participated, and a big thank you to all of the organizers for running the events and having us out to cover them.
