Stikpusher 2022, Pass In Review
Posted by stikpusher on Sunday, January 1, 2023 8:24 PM

I had a fairly productive year buildwise for 2022. I was even able to squeeze in one more than last year.

My first completion of the year was this Academy 1/35 M51 Sherman

Followed by an Italeri Crusader III AA Tank, built in three four hour sessions for completion with 12 hours

Next was a “shelf of doom” completion, the Dragon T-72M2, aka T-72B w/ERA

and then a Dragon 1/35 M48A1 “Elvis Tank”

Then for my wingy thingies

First up, a 1/48 Hobbycraft F8F-1B

Next was a 1/48 Tamiya F2A-2

And then I was able to finish up these last two on the afternoon of New Year’s Eve….

A 1/48 ICM Mig-3

and another “shelf of doom” project, a 1/48 Monogram P-40B

a fine way to close out 2022

Eugene, Chad, CB, John, and Castel, thanks one and all for looking in, commenting, and picking out your favorites. Wink Me, I'm kinda partial to the M48 and the Bearcat myself.

Hi, Stik - You had a great year for production, all of them are really well built and expertly finished. The Buffalo and the Bearcat both reach the top step of the ladder, mighty fine work.

Thanks for the post and photos. Happy New Year to you.

stikpusher, you've got some great paintwork there! The weathering on the armor looks great. I'm impressed with that P-40. I know that's not an easy kit to get a good result out of.

Great job!

Patrpick & O, thanks guys.

Patrick, Nappy New Years to you too.

O, you are right about the old P-40. It sure can use a good dose of fine tuning.

Thanks Beav. I didn't have any real problems with the Mig until it was time to put on paint and decals. Then I had problems. But the kit has some really great engineering I thought.

Thanks Robert. I had to knuckle down a bit to get these last two done, and not quite as envisioned. But they are now on the display shelf at least.
