pepperfly, you are one busy guy! who makes that O-1 Bird Dog? I challenged my girlfriend to pick a plane for me to make a while ago, and that's what she picked because it "looked cute and sounded cute"! I couldn't find any kits at the time.

U-6 Beaver .....and its bigger sister DHC otter.......OV-10......AD-1......cessna 150.........cessna 170 .......cessna 180.........UH-1C........C-47.........C-130H .........AC130.......AT-33coin........these are for now with the detail sets ..1st air commando ....SOG....Loas.... 1960sand 1970s of course the CH-47 all I/48 scale...There are a few other aircraft the O-2 so far I have everybody accounted for in this area ......next is naval test aircraft china lake and point Mugu california

heylonghair, I drew onto matt enamel - Humbrol 64 I think. It worked quite well because the ink from the pen bled into the paint, feathering the edges a little. It took a while, because I could only do a couple of square centimetres before my eyes would go funny .

The warrior is in paint prep and should be ready for a show in september.

So you drew all those circles by hand? Wow!! Did you just draw it right onto the plastic itself or onto something else first?

Hi Lee, thanks for the interest! The Renault is just a curbside kit, and not a particularly good one at that. The body shape is fairly accurate, but because it is a tub-style interior, it would have been hard to correctly shape door panels etc. The panel lines for the doors are too far back (there is a central pillar between door and rear window) and the suspension and wheels aren't too hot either.

It's my first auto kit, so I'm still learning the ropes and didn't want to splash out on white metal wheels etc. I just wanted a model of my own car, and Fujimi are, I think, the only people that make one, though LHD version only.

I have seen that someone offers a Maxi Megane resin conversion for the Fujimi kit - with flared arches, spoiler and scoops for the F2 rally car. Maybe next time

The upholstery is based on the pattern in my own car (as is the paint colour). It was a drag to draw on with a 0.01 marker! It's a little too strong - the pattern is really a very dark grey series of concentric circles on a lighter background - but the effect isn't too bad and makes the model mine

My Fujimi 1/24 Renault Megane Coupé is nearing completion, with just the glazing to edge in black and the wipers and antenna to attach.


The current focus is a 1/35 Italeri/Zvezda T-34/76 M1943. The turret and deck are more or less assembled and painting may begin this weekend.



There is also a Hasegawa 1/72 F104G taken from the store and on the table. It's still in the box, but I admit to reading the instructions I quite fancy a crack at a metal finish, so that might get started while I'm waiting for bits of the T34 to dry...

I've started building the Trumpeter 1/35th Chinese Type 89 120mm Anti-tank gun. In addition to that kit I'm finishing up a DML JS-2. The Trumpeter kit is going together well, but I wish they would bet better styrene (it's soft plastic) and also take a page from Tamiya and make their models easier to assemble.

On my workbench? My second commissioned project, an Occidental 1/48th scale AT- 6 Texan. A buddy of mine has a friend who had access to and AT-6 which was formally with the South African Air Force. The friend took my buddy for a one hour ride. To thank his friend, my buddy asked me to make a model of the plane for his friend. My buddy liked it so much that he has now asked me to make one for himself.
Unfortunately, the owner of the plane has sold it and the friend no longer has access to it.

It's kind of embarrasing for me (for those of you who know what it's from ), but I have an F-18 Hornet on my "workbench".

Then there's the 100+ Games Workshops figures and the 50+ Lord of the Rings figures sitting downstairs waiting to be assembled and painted.

Some of you guys have big workbenches ! the little Airfix Spitfire Mk1 i'm building is an evening
or two away from being finished and looking good - not a long project (but i should be revising
for an exam or two) just won a Mk8/9 Frog Spit on ebay - so must in a Supermarine phase i
guess....................

I'm working on a 1/35th Flak Emplacement diorama. I have built a Tamiya German 88mm Gun Flak 37. All I need to do is como it. I have also just finished a machine gun troop. I just bought a 8 ton Sd.Kfz7 Semi Track on ebay. It only had instructions in Japanesse, and so since I can't read Japanesse I'm waiting for my copy to come in from Tamiya. I also bought a Eduard Tool Box for the Semi Track to come in. Once I get the instructions and the tool box I will begain building that.

Next week I should buy the resin Flak Emplacement kit from Verlinden, and maybe some bricks and a couple of ruined buildings. I'm not 100% sure where this diorama is going right now. I'm just kinda adding as I'm gonna go. I also have my eye on a morter team, and another set of Machine Gunners.

So anyway that is what is on my bench (i.e. coffee table).

Just started Tamiya's T-55A. Gonna do it in 1966-vintage Red Square Parade livery.
Also starting Tamiya's Tiger II (Porsche). Doing that one as the beast incarcerated at the Bovington Tank Museum. Not the recent, gaudily camouflaged version, but the dark yellow King from years back.

Both are a little different, subject-wise, and both should be fun!

Hey Michael .... why not post us some pics of these finished works. I would love to see them. As far as the decision of the Abrams and the T-55 .... that's really quite an easy choice ...... buy them both because in the end you will anyway.

I completed the modern day marine amtrac.
Just finished the 1/35 scale M3 Bradley.
Still working on the soviet apc with individual links, just haven't mastered the art of assembling those little buggers yet!
I saw the T55 tank in the store the other day but also saw an abrams too. Can't decide what to buy and make next.
It is good to be back in the modeling world again.

Just would like more time!

Ther are times when that just might happen.LOL It's easy to lose track of stuff when you are working on so many projecst. Oh-well.

I'm finally getting ready to apply my final paint scheme to my Tamiya 1/48th Me 262(its about time after six months or so).
I am also just completeing the clean up of the seams on my fuselage of my Tamiya P-47 (78thFG). BOY does the interior look SWWEEETT.....!!!!.
A side project I'm also working on is the 1/72nd OV-10 Bronco from Academy. Its going to be gears up and it will be painted up over all pale orange w/ field drab green camo. This a/c was w/ VX-5(in action pg41). Now thats a paint scheme
I have to learn to concentrate on one project at a time....... NA,that would'nt be fun

Hello all!

Right now I have a 1967 Mustang GT, a 1932 Ford, and a 1/144 DC-3 by...something Miniatures (I can't check because I am at work right now) that I am working on...as well as experimenting/practicing on with some of my detailing and painting.

Currently, I'm recessing the panel lines on a Revell-Monogram F-105F/G Thunderchief, detailing the B-1 that came in the Revell-Monogram "Air Power Combo",decaling a Revell AG F/A-18E/F "Super" Hornet(nothing super about the F-18E/F, if you ask me!), and brush painting a Gundam in natural metal(the color I'm using is Testors' Model Master "Aluminum".).

1. B-2 Bomber 1/72 that just needs to be sprayed w/ Dullcoat.

2. Harrier BAE 1/72 that needs another coat of Future over the decals & then onto Dullcoat.

3. AH-64 Apache 1/32 that's about 70% finished.

4. Pro Shop X-Wing, all assembled, even the electronics, but the outside (excluding the cockpit) needs to be painted & decaled.

5. F117 Stealth Fighter 1/32, it's almost finished except for the decals & dullcoat, but I'm trying to get the decal thing down first before I try to finish this one.

6. & 7. F4-E Phantom II 1/44 & a small X-wing... these I'm using to experiment with, painting, weathering & the like. They're completly assembled, but serving as laboratory mice for my madness!!!!!

On my workbench at the moment is a Saab drakken that i completed obout 2 weeks ago a Saab viggen that i am repairing and a Mig 21 that i am gonna headbut into the middle of next week if it dont start going right soon, its become one of those kits that i wish i had used for spares (which is why i bought it ) well that and it was only £1...Gregers
